Oily Skin Sunscreen- Screen the Skin with Sunscreen

The skin is that part of the body which bears the maximum brunt of all the external pressures. Heat, cold, dust, pollution and many other factors make the skin dead and lifeless. The sun and heat takes the maximum toll on the skin causing great trouble to it, so much so that it even causes sun burns to the skin. There are a wide range of products which are manufactured to protect all kinds of skin from these pressures. People having an oily skin probably suffer the maximum. Hence
products like sunscreens for oily skin are in great demand, obviously more by women.

Sunscreens for Oily Skin

Individuals with an oily skin must use only that kind of sunscreen which protects the skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun and also keep the skin oil-free. The sunscreen must truly protect oily skin from both kinds of UV rays, namely UVB rays which cause sunburn and UVA rays which cause skin cancer and wrinkles. For this purpose, a sunscreen must contain either titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone. If one of those ingredients is not listed on the label of the sunscreen it is no use buying the products. While buying such products the individuals must be very careful, because the labeling on the packages can be deceiving.

On the package and in the listing a sunscreen can legally say that it provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, but in reality provide very little UVA protection. It is necessary to check the ingredients list for either titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone. Those are the only ingredients that can give oily skin decent protection against both UVA & UVB - irrespective of the listings and claims on the label. All women must also remember to check for these ingredients on the labels of any make-up products, foundations or day creams containing sunscreens. Also, price has nothing to do with effectiveness. Experts recommend not spending a lot on sunscreen, since you are less likely to use an expensive sunscreen as liberally as necessary to give you adequate protection. In addition to checking the ingredients list, it is necessary to pick a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15, and get a waterproof formula if there are activities like swimming or exercising.
